Bears have a sweet tooth. Sea otters take their silverware and table wherever they go. The <I>Amazing Animals</I> series explains animal life in terms kids understand, using alliteration ("happy herbivores") and fun puns ("an agouti's teeth are sharp enough to crack a Brazil nut? That's nutty!"). Granted, the jokes may make parents groan, but kids aged 4 and up will think they're a hoot. Henry the animated lizard is there to help the narrator dish out plenty of information and to make kids feel smart. When asked how skinny snakes manage to swallow large eggs, hapless Henry's ill-researched theory involves a bicycle pump. Henry's answers are too goofy to be taken seriously, and meanwhile the kids have learned a boatload of information on animal life.
