Reader Reviews The solid and wonderfully nuanced performances by virtually everyone in this movie will set up that troubling dissonance we all know [but don't love] when the acting so outshines a totally inane or 'seriously flawed' script. This movie is worth watching but be prepared to find yourself saying and eventually yelling "What?!' a goodly number of times before it ends. Side bar: If you know [or are] a native speaker you may be appalled at how poorly the sub-titles match the dialogue. Even those relying on high school French will quickly realize that a hard bald egg [with or without mayo] can not be what the writer originally intended. However, it isn't only phonics that gets 'lost in translation' here. Bon appetit!
