The moves are very simple and suitable for beginners. If you're intimidated by complicated choreography, you won't have any problems following Austin, who repeats the same moves many times. She does a lot of step-touch, a lot of marching in place with various arm moves, and many, many knee lifts. If you like more variety to your choreography, you'll be bored, but if you'd rather just repeat moves you know, this could be your workout. Although this is billed "low-impact," Austin puts a hop into her knee lifts and lunges. (You might want to fast-forward past the lunges that switch sides quickly if you have knee problems.) Austin talks nonstop, either cueing or cheering you on ("Beautiful!" "You got it!" "You can do it!" I wanted a strait cardio workout without grapevines, salsas and more complicated steps that frustrate me (I WILL give up). The steps are easy to follow, have a nice build up and slow down, and get your heart rate up without over doing it. As this is my 10th Denise tape, I have seen some of these moves before but this is the first time I've seen upper and lower body toning combined with aerobics simultaneously, so you there's nothing missing! If you want something simple, fun and that saves some time, this will keep you motivated!
