GONE BABY GONE "will have you talking long after it's over" (Christy Lemire THE ASSOCIATED PRESS).System Requirements:Running Time: 114 Mins.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: DRAMA/PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA Rating: R UPC: 786936727487 Manufacturer No: 5373803 Reader Reviews Someone's gonna have to put together a Boston trilogy or the like in the near future packaging "The Departed" "Gone Baby Gone" and perhaps "Good Will Hunting" or the forthcoming "Shelter Island"...I REALLY wanted to give this review 5 stars but just couldn't do it as enough time hasn't passed to see if it holds up or if I begin to feel differently about it after multiple viewings...For right now, I do think it has been overlooked in comparison to a number of films released in recent years...There is little fat on the script and the dialogue is kept short...Casey Affleck performs well though given he is essentially playing himself I don't think we should be so quick to crown him a great actor...The insight into Boston's race relations and underbelly is great...details like mentioning the Cape Verdean population and filming in the Quincy quarries gives the film a real sense of authenticity...The film doesn't dance around tough issues--child abuse, drug abuse, nature vs. nurture, etc. and doesn't provide answers for the viewer...merely presents a difficult situation, shows how one individual resolves it and leaves it to you to decide if it was the best way or not...Well done and worth viewing and discussing...
