The story alone is great whether on VHS, DVD, or HD. However, the transfer to HD isn't as good as I would have hoped. I'm actually not very demanding in regards to perfect HD quality, but lets face it, this transfer leaves a lot to be desired. I have this movie in DVD and Blu-ray. It does look better in blu-ray, however I don't feel that it was that much better that it was worth the extra cost. In some scenes, it felt like I was watching the DVD. This transfer was actually one of the more disappointing bluray transfer that I have seen. I did not notice any pixelation, but everything just wasn't sharp or defined as a true HD movie. I would recommend it if you don't already have this on DVD.
