Four desparadoes, McCord (John Hodiak), the Kid (John Derek), Egan (D Brian, and Doc (Ray Teal), leave prison after serving 5 years for a holdup. McCord, framed by the others to protect Egan's brother, cuts himself in on the cached loot. Enroute to the ghost town of Tomahawk Gap, where the money is buried, they capture a young indian girl (Marques). In the town, which they rip apart in a futile search for the money, Egan and Doc are killed by raiding Apaches. McCord sets off dynamite which blows up himself and the remaining Indians. The Kid and the girl, romantically involved, ride away as the missing money, revealed by the blast, burns away unheeded.
