This was one of those marvelous films I discovered by accident. Toshiro Mifune plays a wealthy industrialist whose son is kidnapped and held for ransom. Yes, we've all been down that road before, but this one is paved by the legendary director Akira Kurosawa and that makes all the difference in the world. Taut, exciting and unpredictable, this is a first rate thriller that is not to be missed.
