Instructor Larry Gould goes over each step and then demonstrates the man's part. His (truly) silent partner Sheryl Schmuker then demonstrates the woman's part and the two go on to show how the steps work together. Gould takes a slow approach, assuring the viewer that dance is not something picked up quickly and advising patience. Each of the 10 steps (box, breakaway, stroll, and such) gets about seven minutes of airtime. This 80-minute tape includes demonstrations on combining the steps, as well as advice on the subtle mysteries of leading and following. The video was shot in the late 1980s, so don't expect current dance fashions.
