Reader Reviews I am biased since I saw the original one first and was excited when I heard the news that they were remaking it for the US. Although the movie wasn't bad in any respect, it just didn't quite live up to the original. There were minor differences, but the main one was the ending that didn't match up. Maybe they wanted to close it nicely or something, but it's not exactly the way the Chinese one ended.
