The DVD side comes with a lot of explanations. The HD-DVD side, just the images and some text to read. Using the DVD side you'll be able to follow what should be done to get your TV calibrated. However, just using the color filter provided helps, but not that much. For the regular TV watcher who wants to calibrate their TV, it may be more beneficial to visit the AVS Forum and try some of the calibration settings for your TV that are posted by the members. Using the HD-DVD side is another issue all together. There's hardly any explanation, so you have to know what to do with each of the images. Another thing is that there are so many more calibration images for the HD-DVD side. If you're in the profession, or have been doing a lot of research, you'll most likely immediately know what do do. The rest of us might be clueless. Anyway, I have the Samsung LN-T4671F and plan on getting it professionally calibrated. Unless your TV is already well calibrated when it gets to your house, only a professional calibration will get you the right picture. You may however, get closer to that pot of gold by using tools like this. I would suggest that you first try to calibrate your TV yourself (using the user menu, NOT the hidden service menu), then decide whether its worth it to get it professionally done.
